I need to run some more tests with UAC and firewall enabled, but at least I know it is possible now.I recently installed Ubuntu 12.04 and my Compro K100 worked fine in the beginning. by enabling auto sharing you allow USB over Network to grab it before anything else in the system does, so most often this solves the problem. problem sign means that something else has 'grabbed' the device. There's more information at the following link:ĭid you try to enable auto-sharing for this device? I tried turning UAC off and running USB over Network as an Administrator but still had no luck. Not sure if it helps or not, but the MCE IR Receiver is guarded (not sure the right term) by UAC on Vista/Win7. "eHome Infrared Transceiver - eHome Infrared Receiver (USBCIR)" The UI, when the device is initially plugged in, says: I did a restore of my computer to the previous day's backup (to remove all traces of the programs) and installed just USB over Network.

I found that I could KernelPro product to work with the USB-UIRT if I disabled the Windows Firewall, so I decided to see if I had any better luck with USB over Network with the Firewall off. I first tried your Remote Desktop version, which gave the ".Problem", then I tried the KernelPro product.

Sorry, I saw a post for Hyper-V suggesting either your product or the KernelPro product.
Ehome infrared receiver not working pro#
Try uninstalling Kernel Pro to see if this solves the problem.
Ehome infrared receiver not working software#
Most probably you installed their software before you installed ours and that's why it's causing conflicts now. Sorry, but we are not Kernel Pro, it is a different company. Re: Unable to share MCE IR Remote Receiver I can share the USB-UIRT without problem, but when I click share on the eHome device, it says "eHome Infrared Transceiver - KernelPre USB Device.Problem." and doesn't work.Īny suggestions? I can't find any way to get more information, either. I've got two IR devices, a USB-UIRT and an MCE IR Receiver (eHome receiver). I want to test some USB software I'm developing on VMs.
